Die Design was devised 25 years ago by Salvatore Micalizio, mechanical designer of dies and fixtures for the cold metalworking.
The ongoing partnerships with important European companies in the cold metal forming led him to move to northern Belgium, then to the Netherlands, and finally to eastern Germany, expanding his professional knowledge to various metal stamping sectors including but not limited to household appliances, automotive, electromechanical, defence.
He established solid long lasting collaborations with a reliable team of designers and manufacturers which allowed him to satisfy the request for “turnkey” supplies, and to provide the following services:
- FEM simulation and process feasibility/criticality analysis.
- co-design of the article to be produced and related preliminary optimization of the 3D mathematics.
- development of the final executive methodology.
- breakdown and estimates of dies and equipment.
- 3D CAD design and engineering.
- rapid realization of soft-tools for the supply of samples and pre-series of pressed metal articles, while speeding up the final stamping process.
- manufacturing and final testing of dies and mechanical equipment.
- after-sales assistance and supply of spare parts.
Firstly, we carefully analyse a tailored assembly methodology of each single die. Then, we customise the design while containing manufacturing costs and those for future maintenance requirements.
